D. Product Overview:

The Proto-Vac Model 200 is an easy-to-operate, self-contained vacuum former that produces professional qualify parts for designers, engineers, schools, manufacturers and model makers.

It is ideal for prototypes and small production runs. It is capable of reducing the time between design, prototype and production from weeks to hours.

This machine is styled and sized to fit into design studios, training classrooms and industrial environments. It is compact - only requiring a 3 ft x 6 ft floor space.

A step-up from the model 100, the Proto-Vac model 200 is designed exclusively for vacuum forming. It features a book-type clamping material carriage system capable of holding a sheet of 30" x 30" thermoformable material 3/16" thick. The carriage system shuttles in and out of a 9000 watt oven where material is heated prior to being vacuum formed. A 20 gal. accumulator tank and a 4 cfm vacuum pump comprise the vacuum system for this machine.

A control panel consisting of a percentage timer (for oven heat control), a countdown timer (for heating cycle control) and a systems switch, is conveniently located in front of the machine operator. No wasted motions are expended to operate this machine.

The vacuum formed parts are cooled by one 1860 cfm circulator fan with adjustable head to provide optimum air direction for proper cooling. All electrical systems are protected by a main service disconnect switch which is located within easy access of the operator. All other key electrical components are fused for extra protection.

Because of the versatile design of the Proto-Vac 200, its production capacity can be doubled for a fraction of the cost of buying two machines. Contact Tamco Mfg. Co. for additional information regarding this feature of Proto-Vac machines.
