D. Product Overview:

The Proto-Vac Model 100 is a compact 3-in-1 (Three-in-one) machine. It can be used for skin packaging, blister packing or as a vacuum former.

Designed primarily for proto-typing and development work, this machine can also be used for short-run or limited production jobs.

As a packaging machine, the model 100 is capable of holding a roll stock 22~' wide. Full length low friction rollers permit the plastic film material to be fed to the forming area with no snag or binding. As a vacuum former the machine can accommodate a plastic sheet 30" x 22" and up to 3/16" thick. A stationary book-type adjustable clamp frame holds plastic material in place while heat is applied. The source of heat is a 6,000 watt oven mounted on friction-less rollers.

The mold platen is raised and lowered by a 2'/2" diameter pneumatic air cylinder.

A programmable percentage timer and a digital countdown timer assist the operator in controlling heat and cycle time.

A 4 cfm, 1/4 HP oiless vacuum pump and a 20 gal accumulator tank form the vacuum system for this dynamite little machine.

The model 100, like all other Proto-Vac machines, can be ordered with a self-contained air compressor for installations that cannot provide a central compressed air system.

A cooling fan is optional when used as packaging machine but is necessary if machine will be used as a vacuum former. Please specify at time of order.

A main service disconnect switch protects all the electrical components of this machine and additional protection is provided by fusing all key electrical parts.

The model 100 is truly a dynamite little machine that will out-perform its competition.
